Product Description
DIEHARD Injectable is formulated to be used to treat mature and newly planted landscape trees and shrubs with live beneficial mycorrhizal fungi intended for use with root injection equipment. It contains highly selected species of low host specificity endo – ectomycorrhizal fungi that will quickly colonize the roots of mature and newly planted landscape trees and shrubs. The mycorrhizal inoculants are combined with other beneficial fungus (Trichoderma), humic acids, soluble sea kelp, yucca plant extracts, vitamins, folic acid, amino acid, and a host of beneficial bacteria to promote rapid root development. The results are quick colonization of roots with beneficial mycorrhizal fungi to provide a boost in the overall health of the tree. Product is available with ectomycorrhizal fungi only as DIEHARD Ecto Injectable for plant species that associate with ectomycorrhizal fungi.
Use of Product
Mix the contents of each 8 oz. bag with 100 gallons of water. Fertilizers may be added*. Inject on a 2 ½ foot grid pattern ½ gallon of solution per injection site. 8 oz. will treat approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of root zone. The following injection area is suggested:

Method: Measure from the trunk to the drip line (A). Divide this number by 2. Measure from the drip line this amount towards the tree and outward from the drip line and treat this area (B) using a grid pattern.
New Transplants: Inject 1 gallon per inch caliper between the original root ball and soil interface in four (4), or more injection sites making sure inoculant is adjacent to the root ball.
Containerized & Balled and Burlapped Trees and Shrubs: Inject 1 gallon per inch caliper distributed into four or more injection sites on the outside part of the root ball. (Great application for the wholesale nurserymen to provide his customer a more complete plant that is going to transplant a lot better.)
Hydroponics:
1.Apply at the rate of 1 tablespoon per 6 gallons of solution.
2.Apply when root first appear and again in two weeks.
